with apples, pears, & cranberries

Filling
  1. 3 large apples, peeled, cored, & cubed
  2. 3 large pears, peeled, cored & cubed
  3. 3/4 cup dried cranberries
  4. Juice of 1 lemon
Topping
  1. 3/4 cup flour
  2. 3/4 cup brown sugar
  3. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  4. 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  5. 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  6. 1 teaspoon vanilla
  7. 1 cup dry oatmeal
  8. 1 cup diced pecans
  9. 1 stick butter, cut into small pieces
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375°. In a large greased baking dish, toss chopped fruit and cranberries in the lemon juice. Set aside. Using a pastry blender, combine all topping ingredients until butter is well blended. Scatter topping over fruit and pat down to cover evenly. Bake uncovered for 55 to 65 minutes, until top is golden brown and juices are bubbling. Let cool slightly, and serve with vanilla ice cream.
  2. Serves 6 for dessert.
