Classes

Our classes are taught by Chelsea Bruce, chef, pastry artist, and graduate of the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone, Saint Helena, California.

Unless otherwise noted, all classes start at 6:30 pm. Pre-registration is required. Please call or sign up online. Class fees are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend a class, please let us know one week ahead and we can transfer you into another class. Classes with fewer than 8 enrolled will be cancelled. If this happens we will call you by phone the day before. You will have the choice of transferring to another class or receiving a full refund. All evenings include recipes, training, shopping for ingredients and menu planning. Please plan to arrive on time.

Private cooking classes are available. Please make reservations two weeks ahead of time and with a minimum of 8 students.

    Eat Pretty: Winter

    Winter crostini, winter Buddha bowl, rice rolls, granola. these are just a few of my favorite things but with the addition of winter ingredients! We will be focusing on bright vegetables that glow. Bring your camera or use your phone, these recipes will be Instagram worthy! This is a hands on class and we will enjoy all the pretty eats at the end of the night!

    Sauce: Classic Mustard Vinaigrette over Mixed Greens with Parmesan Frico
    Poach: Salmon with Dill Crème Fraiche
    Sauté: Chicken Cutlets with Lemon Caper Pan Sauce
    Roast: Honey Glazed Vegetables
    Bake: Apple Crostata with Caramel Sauce.
    This is a demonstrative dinner paired with local wine.

    Heirloom Spoon Carving

    There is nothing like the feeling of creating your own kitchen tools especially ones that become heirlooms. No experience is necessary. Come and learn the art of turning a piece of wood into a spoon. We provide all the necessary tools.

    Italian Kitchen: Pasta and Sausage

    Two of my favorite thing to eat and teach. We will begin by making fresh pasta, learning techniques in cuts and styles, followed by making fresh sausage and learning about the proper ratios, meat grinds and casings. Don’t worry! We didn’t forget the sauce! This is a hands on class followed by a delicious meal paired with local wine!

    Join us for this hands on class in celebration of pie! You will learn all the basics and techniques to make your own delicious pies at home! Pie options will be determined what is available at this time of season.

    Sauerkraut, Preserved Lemons, Vinegar, Kombucha: Come kickstart your fermentation and preservation habits with this awesome hands on class. You will go home with a jar of everything produced and everything you need to know to get started.

    In this ever so popular class you will make your own two batches of scones to be baked at home. We will use fruits that are in season and learn about the many flavor combinations you can create. Learn the secret techniques to the perfect scones for you and your family.

    Succulent Cupcake Workshop

    In this class you will learn how to color buttercream, pipe buttercream succulents, and arrange them on your cupcakes. All recipes will be shared and you will leave with a dozen beautiful cupcakes to enjoy.

    Under Pressure

    If you have jumped on the bandwagon with a new pressure cooker or multicooker and don’t know where to begin or have had some experience cooking with one but want to learn more, this class will cover it all! We will be making steel cut oats, mushroom risotto, beef short ribs, smokey lentil and potato soup, and Cheesecake. This is a demo class, please come hungry.
