The coffee at Newcastle Produce comes from two local coffee roasters, Clementine in Auburn, and Temple in Sacramento.
Clementine Coffee Roasters began with the goal of elevating coffee culture in the Gold Country region. The founding brothers are eager to create opportunities for people to enjoy single-origin, ethically-sourced, and freshly roasted coffee from around the world.
At the heart of Temple Coffee Roasters is their “Farm to Cup” sustainable coffee sourcing program. Their coffee buyer travels several times a year to meet coffee producers, build sustainable relationships with farms, and understand the farming practices and growing conditions of the coffee they buy, always exceeding Fair Trade prices. This program allows them to understand the unique story of each coffee and showcase the best each coffee has to offer.
But there is more in your cup than flavorful, ethically sourced coffee and caffeine. A cup of coffee can mean a few moments away from the everyday hustle and bustle and a chance to take a deep breath and relax for a moment. A cup of coffee can be a welcoming invitation to a friend, a beckoning to sit awhile and catch up. A cup of coffee can be an excuse to linger and converse with a new acquaintance.
